A fast Wi-Fi network with state-of-the-art technology, high availability and easy, secure access were essential to the success of the project implemented with Conversys' expertise and Aruba's solutions.
The Learning Village is the first innovation and technology hub focused on education and people development in Latin America, connecting companies, startups and partners in an ecosystem that promotes the transformation of the country.
The hub is founded by SingularityU Brazil, the local partner of Singularity University, a cutting-edge educational institution born in Silicon Valley, and HSM, a corporate education platform. They are all part of the Ânima Educação portfolio, the largest and most innovative quality education ecosystem in the country.
The challenge involved modernizing and evolving the Learning Village into a space with the capacity to connect hundreds of people every day with quality and safety.
Conversys, together with the Learning Village, developed a connectivity project based on Aruba's Wi-Fi 6 solution, covering not only mobility and high availability, but also complete management and monitoring of the environment.
The implementation of the wireless network modernized the technological infrastructure, providing its clients and employees with greater speed, efficiency, security and reliability.
Check out how the project was developed.
By connecting players to generate new opportunities and supporting companies on their innovation journey, the hub, which belongs to the Ânima Educação group - one of the country's leading private higher education organizations, with more than 332,000 students spread across 18 educational institutions and 570 educational hubs throughout Brazil - provides a modern, highly available structure for companies, startups and their sponsors to carry out their innovation projects, content production, events and various training courses.
And that's where Aruba's Wi-Fi 6 solution via Conversys comes in.
"From the very first contact, HSM showed total interest in acquiring a robust, high-performance network that could represent the standard of quality they were seeking for the Learning Village. In just a few meetings and presentations, the team understood that the technical detail, attention to detail and level of study that we applied to the Village's premises, which were still under construction, would make all the difference in arriving at an ideal model of technology and secure access for all the students and users of the environment," comments Leandro Cibulka, Sales Engineer at Conversys IT Solutions.
The quality of Aruba solutions and the technical knowledge and experience of the Conversys team, together with the Learning Village, have built a new standard of user experience.
State-of-the-art technology and redundancy in the infrastructure were the points of greatest attention in the design of the project. All wireless access is delivered by the Aruba 500 line of Access Points (APs), through which users can enjoy Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax standard) on all floors of the Learning Village.
Supporting the entire AP connection are pairs of PoE+ switches that connect the antennas in a distributed design to minimize the impact of minor network instabilities for users.
From end to end, the topology continues with redundancy and high availability, also passing through the core with combined throughput to avoid any kind of bottleneck, until it delivers Internet access to the firewalls, which also follow the same idea of robustness.
"The user experience is what draws the most attention and was our top recommendation for the project. Fast Wi-Fi, easy access and using social login were the icing on the cake for us to achieve state-of-the-art delivery of this project," says Cibulka.
"The main goal of the Learning Village infrastructure area is to provide quality internet for our customers. Since we implemented the Aruba solution, we have quality connections without drops, which makes the work of everyone in our ecosystem much easier!" - Thiago Silva, Technology at Learning Village.
Guilherme Portela, Territory Manager at Aruba, explains that the 500 series APs also include features such as OFDMA and Target Wake Time. "This allows for better multi-user performance, greater efficiency and energy savings, enriching the user experience for companies, startups and sponsors taking part in the Learning Village activities. We are happy to collaborate with this initiative by Ânima Educação aimed at innovation," he concludes.
